Build failure 0.9.1

Rudi Lippert
Hi list.

Compile of current musescore (after removing revision.h references) fails with
the following:

[ 19%] Building CXX object mscore/CMakeFiles/mscore.dir/moc_repeatproperties.o
distcc[32079] ERROR: compile /var/tmp/ccache/moc_repeat.tmp.rudi-nb.32075.ii

/var/tmp/portage/media-sound/musescore-0.9.1/work/mscore-0.9.1/build/mscore/ui_repeatproperties.h:
In member function »void Ui_RepeatPropertiesBase::retranslateUi(QDialog*)«:
/var/tmp/portage/media-sound/musescore-0.9.1/work/mscore-0.9.1/build/mscore/ui_repeatproperties.h:142:

make: *** [default] Fehler 2

Sorry, LC_ALL=en_US didn't help. It says "Error: class QDialog has no element
named setAccessibleName". My Qt is 4.3.2, which seems recent enough.

Any hints?

Rudi

needless to say that i cannot reproduce this bug here. I have no idea whats the
reason as QDialog _has_ a member called setAccessibleName.

Re: Build failure 0.9.1

Doug Laidlaw
If your build directory is /var/tmp/portage, you are using Gentoo.

Strange that I am having no problems at all on my Mandriva 2008, building from
the latest svn.  In my experience, and FWIW, an error message like that
usually means a missing dependency, but I am not a programmer.

Doug.

I had no problems to compile musescore on SuSE LINUX 9.3 (gcc-4.1.2/ qt-4.3.2). This is how make looks on my machine:

[ 56%] Building CXX object mscore/CMakeFiles/mscore.dir/moc_chordproperties.o
[ 57%] Building CXX object mscore/CMakeFiles/mscore.dir/moc_restproperties.o
[ 57%] Building CXX object mscore/CMakeFiles/mscore.dir/moc_repeatproperties.o
[ 57%] Building CXX object mscore/CMakeFiles/mscore.dir/moc_jumpproperties.o
[ 58%] Building CXX object mscore/CMakeFiles/mscore.dir/moc_markerproperties.o
[ 58%] Building CXX object mscore/CMakeFiles/mscore.dir/moc_boxproperties.o
[ 58%] Building CXX object mscore/CMakeFiles/mscore.dir/moc_newwizard.o
[ 59%] Building CXX object mscore/CMakeFiles/mscore.dir/actions.o
[ 59%] Building CXX object mscore/CMakeFiles/mscore.dir/accidental.o
[ 59%] Building CXX object mscore/CMakeFiles/mscore.dir/barline.o
[ 60%] Building CXX object mscore/CMakeFiles/mscore.dir/beam.o

As you can see, moc_repeatproperties.o is being compiled at [ 57%], yours at [ 19%] - maybe on Gentoo some things are different. So, is this the first error you have noticed?

A second thing:

<ui_repeatproperties.h> includes the following header files:

#include <QtCore/QVariant>
#include <QtGui/QAction>
#include <QtGui/QApplication>
#include <QtGui/QButtonGroup>
#include <QtGui/QDialog>
#include <QtGui/QDialogButtonBox>
#include <QtGui/QGridLayout>
#include <QtGui/QLabel>
#include <QtGui/QLineEdit>
#include <QtGui/QSpinBox>

Did you install the qt4 header files/ devel package? They should be installed in

/usr/include/QtCore
/usr/include/QtGui
