Combiliing in Ubuntu 7.10 - breaks in JACK-stuff

cambiata
Hi!

Being a linux compiling newbee, I'm proud of being able to get things running at all...

But...

The make process stops after
Linking CXX executable mscore
with the following message:

CMakeFiles/mscore.dir/jackaudio.o: In function `JackAudio::getState()':
/home/cambiata/Programmering/MScore/mscore-0.9.1/mscore/mscore/jackaudio.cpp:388: undefined reference to `jack_transport_query'

This is followed by a lot of undefined references to jack functions.

All jackd and libjack packages that I can find in Synaptic are installed.

Could someone give me a clue?

Regards / Jonas

maybe you have installed more than one version of libjack. Please remove
all old libjack versions or check to which lib the link /usr/lib/libjack.so
points. It should point to the newest version.
General the installed header files in /usr/include/jack should be the same
version than your installed lib.

So, now for the next step...

When running make install, CMake seems to be looking for mscore.desktop, wich obviously isn't there:

Install the project...
-- Install configuration: "RELEASE"
CMake Error: Error in cmake code at
/home/cambiata/Programmering/MScore/mscore-0.9.1/build/cmake_install.cmake:35:
FILE INSTALL cannot find file "/home/cambiata/Programmering/MScore/mscore-0.9.1/build/mscore.desktop" to install.
Current CMake stack:
[1]     /home/cambiata/Programmering/MScore/mscore-0.9.1/build/cmake_install.cmake
make[1]: *** [install] Fel 255
make[1]: Leaving directory `/home/cambiata/Programmering/MScore/mscore-0.9.1/build'
make: *** [install] Fel 2

Any clues?

Jonas

Its a bug in the build system. You can copy the file manually from
mscore/packaging into the build directory or fix the path in the cmake script
or much better use the current subversion head version.
