Edit > Search

David Bolton-2
When I first tried the search feature in MuseScore a few weeks ago I
typed in some text and nothing happened so I assumed it was not
implemented yet. Obviously I misunderstood its purpose until today when
I typed in a number and it jumped to that measure.

Would it be OK if I renamed it "Go To Measure..." or "Go To Bar..."?

The search function is not complete. The idea was to be able to search for
different things. Currently only measure numbers are implemented. The next
function would be to search for rehearsal marks by entering their letters.
Other functions can be discussed like searching for pages by entering p# (#
for page number).

What about "Go To..."? For me the word "search" is strongly associated
with a list of results that match a given string, similar to file
search on the computer or Google on the web.

Either way maybe an explanitory note next to the search box would help
(e.g. "Type in a measure number or rehearsal mark").
