Fonts/Noteheads

israelzeu703
Hello.....Is very good to be here again ^^

My requests now, is:

- You can have other clef's images possibilities....a Command to change the font of clef, same as text edit...because, the variation in drawings is good

Here, some clef fonts:

http://www.hindson.com.au/wordpress/free-fonts-available-for-download/

http://www.icogitate.com/~ergosum/fonts/musicfonts.htm

- You can put in noteheads option in pallete, the square (or mensural) note head: For square breves and longas, or diamond-shaped in other notes with a "ancient" flag.

thanks and stay good

Its not so easy to change the score font. Mscore needs to know some special
character metrics to put the symbols to the right places. For example for a
note head mscore need to know where exactly to attach the note stem.
This character metrics are currently hard coded for the lilypond font.
To make the font changable two things have to be done:

        - define an intern table driven interface for arbitrary fonts
        - for every font define the required metrics in an xml file for
      mscore to load.

Maybe this will be implemented in a future version of mscore.

BTW most "free" fonts are only free in the sense of "free beer".
Often the license is not clear if there is any or there are some
restrictions which prohibit distribution with mscore.

Just a reminder, Rosegarden has already something similar apparently.
See: http://www.rosegardenmusic.com/doc/en/nv-note-fonts.html
And: http://www.rosegardenmusic.com/doc/en/developers.html#developers-note-fonts

I was just saying that RoseGarden already have a mapping file for fonts. It can give ideas to (future) developpers.
So if your question is about MuseScore. It's not in yet.
