GSoC 2016 | Accessibility

corykitchens
Hello all,

My name is Cory Kitchens, a Junior Computer Science student at California State University of Bakersfield. I am interested in contributing to MuseScore during Google's Summer of Code 2016.

I believe the Accessibility project idea fits my passion for music, accessible technology, and software development.

Prior to majoring in Computer Science, I was a gigging bass player and music major. I currently work as an Assistive Technology Specialist at CSU Bakersfield so I am lucky enough to interact with students with disabilities on a daily basis.

Contributing to music-based project with an emphasis on accessibility blends all my passions into one exciting package :)

As the deadline approaches for applications, I will work hard on my proposal.

Hi Cory,

Please be specific in your ability to work on the accessibility project in your proposal. In particular, mention your C++/Qt skills, your past accessibility experience.

Re: GSoC 2016 | Accessibility

Marc Sabatella
I had tried responding earlier but am not sure I succeeded.  Anyhow, I encourage to discuss your ideas here.  if you check discussion over the past couple of weeks, you'll see we've been touching on this topic a bit, so if you have comments to add to any of those discussions, that could be a place to get started.  Unfortunately I haven't been able to be on IRC much this week, but may be around a bit tonight and/or tomorrow.
