Welcome!

Assuming you want to contribute some code, you can find the MuseScore code source on github.com https://github.com/musescore/MuseScore Instructions to build the code are here https://musescore.org/en/developers-handbook/compilation

Once you built the code, read our git workflow https://musescore.org/en/developers-handbook/git-workflow
You can pick one of our easy issues https://musescore.org/en/project/issues/musescore?tag=easy and try to solve it. If you need help, you can join our IRC channel #musescore on freenode.net

All these info are available in our developer handbook https://musescore.org/en/developers-handbook

I had pretty much the same question which I posed in person at FOSDEM. I think it was you lasconic which I talked to, and you mentioned the easy issues. I had no difficulty finding the issue tracker, but finding the way to get to the issues marked 'easy' proved to be a bit more difficult. The discoverability of this category is low in my experience. I took the liberty of adding a link to the issues tagged 'easy' to the 'Your first submission' page (https://musescore.org/en/developers-handbook/your-first-submission).

Good move! Thanks!
