JACK bug?

Toby Smithe-2
Hi,

As I do not use JACK with mScore myself, I am unable to confirm this.
However, a user on Ubuntu, in the process of confirming another bug at
[0], reported the following [1][2]:

$ mscore.real
Couldn't resolve property: 2

$ mscore
/usr/bin/mscore: 28: list: not found
Using JACK for audio
Couldn't resolve property: 2
JACK ERROR: cannot complete execution of the processing graph
(Resource temporarily unavailable)
JACK ERROR: zombified - calling shutdown handler
JACK SHUTDOWN

In Ubuntu, I supply a wrapper script at /usr/bin/mscore which invokes
mscore.real. This is provided to call pasuspender if necessary;
unless, that is, PulseAudio has the 'module-jack-sink' module loaded.
The (updated) script is available attached to the bug at [0], for
reference.

I am therefore e-mailing to ask about the "JACK ERROR"s shown, and
where the message "Couldn't resolve property: 2" is originating from,
on both calls. If there could be a comment added to [2], that would be
great.

Thanks,

Toby

The "Couldn't resolve property: 2" is from qt-library when loading an svg icon.
I cannot remember what *.svg was affected but its fixed and the message no
longer shows up. I think in 9.1 it can savely be ignored.

Cool. Do you know what could be causing those JACK errors?

No idea. There is too little information. Does JACK work with other
applications?. How is JACK configured (buffer size)? What soundcard?
Some soundcards/chips/drivers are just crap and do funny things after
an underrun so i would suggest trying other frames/period or periods/buffer
settings.
