MuseScore windows test release 716

Since no one posted yet that there is a new windows prerelease for MuseScore available, I'll take up the task. You may download it via http://prereleases.musescore.org/mscore-r716.exe

Kudos to Werner and everyone who helped on it!

For the ones who are interested, this release does support MusicXML harmony import, which means MuseScore is suitable for creating lead sheets in musicXML. I have no test results for full scores.

For Band in a Box users, you may test the biab import feature which does import harmony and in specific cases notes as well. Lyrics import is not supported yet, I presume because biab allows you to store lyrics in 3 different ways which makes it harder to make a importer for it. Correct me if I'm wrong Werner.

Hi !
As a lot of changes have occured in the code base, can we have another test release to play with :) ? I wonder if you think about automating a nightly build. I know that there are some hard coded dependencies for the MinGW based build. May I ask you to change this ? At the same time, may I ask you to give more info about your development environment ? I see that you are using Kubuntu 7.04. Can you tell which IDE you use ? Maybe a graphical SVN access ?

Thks

Hello,

i just uploaded a new windows testversion at
prereleases.musescore.org/mscore-r733.exe.

I think an nightly build does not help that much as the repository is not
always stable. Its also not easy to make the cross build portable. There
are a lot of requirements, does only work with a beta CMake (you have to
build it from source), needs a special wine installation etc. all things i
really dont want to support.

My development environment is simple command line based, no fancy graphic
IDE. Sometimes i use gdb and valgrind. Not to forget a self made text editor
specially tailored for programming.

Regards,
Werner
