Plugin " Harmonize a song"

misterone
Hello,

I am french so sorry for the english.

A friend of mine and I want to develop a plugin which will harmonize a song. The style will be the "Mozart" style, which is more or less the style we learn in Composing ("Ecriture" in french) 1st year at the conservatory in France.

There will be 4 voices : Violin 1, 2, viola, violoncello.

We have to develop this in an academic context : we are in an engineering school.

In this context, my friend want to code it in C++, because he wants to learn this language : Is that possible ?

If not, is there any other software that would enable to code it in C++ ?

We will have to announce our project tomorrow, and I really hope we could choose this project : otherwise we will have to choose among other projects decided by our school...

Hi,

MuseScore plugins are currently a mix of Javascript and QML, so it's
not possible to write a plugin in C++.

If I wanted to do this kind of project, I would probably use whatever
language I like, probably a server side friendly one. And I would make
a very small plugin for MuseScore that send a MusicXML file to my code
and get back an harmonized MusicXML file to be displayed in MuseScore.
Somehow similar to the ABC import plugin.

If you want to discuss this further, in english or in french, you can
join #MuseScore IRC channel on freenode.net.

Good luck with your project!
