Some more potential issues

lasconic
Administrator
Hi !
Some more small (or less small) issues :

1) A small one : create a new mono staff score (4/4). Select 16th duration, input a rest and three 16th. There is not beam accross the three 16th. That's not common.

2) It seems to be some issue with the cursor (that's the name I give to the blue vertical line). What's is the purpose of it ?
 - If I create a new score (mono staff 4/4) and input quarter notes. The cursor goes forward and back to the beginning of the measure every quarter note
- When I create the new score I don't close the demo one. If I switch to the demo score, the cursor is printed somewhere (maybe the same screen coordinates ) but not on a staff. That's weird.
-Now let's close the score I just created without saving, and note the cursor position. Create a new score. The cursor is at the same place than before I close :-/
- Doing this, I manage once to crash the program by inserting several notes before the cursor. When the notes I add encounters the cursor, then it crashed. I will try to reproduce this one.

this needs more code. The "auto beamer" modul in mscore is very silly and does not
know much about starting and stopping a beam. Thats because i do not know either.
Maybe someone can point me to some infos on the net.

the cursor ist just another way to visualize "note input mode". The behaviour is
broken (the cursor is accidentally set before layout takes place which sometimes
results in arbitrary cursor positions). This is fixed in current svn.

Regarding beaming maybe you can start with the lilypond help : http://lilypond.org/doc/v2.10/Documentation/user/lilypond/Setting-automatic-beam-behavior

Another matter, I send a mail to the list yesterday night. The mailing list daemon says that it is in some moderation process. Can you see it ?

the message exceeded a size limit and i had to commit it. But it should now
be visible (will come back to it later).

Ok thanks.
One more issue, maybe fix.
I create a new mono staff score. add 2 quarter and an half note. Then create a tuplet on the half note and adding notes in the triplet in place of rest (these rest are dotted, that's not good I think). It should add quarter but add 8thnote. As a result, the tuplet is a 8th note tuplet but count in the measure as a quarter note one. Hope it's clear ...
