Suggestions for a best Musescore

israelzeu703
Hello creators...

I'm here, for give to you, some suggestions for a better scorewriter:

Below:

High priority:

* more notes values, like breve (double whole note), longa (quadruple whole note), 128th note...

* MIDI support (organ, harpsichord sounds)

* more clefs, and a correction in the clefs of current file (example: The tenor clef have a soundo of a mezzo-soprano clef !)

* improve the notes insert form (Like finale, because Sibelius mode is very complicated)

* brazilian portuguese translation

______________________________________

Low priority:

*Support to mensural notation

* More Instruments

And, my gratitudes, for you good work

You can hear other instrument sounds within MuseScore by downloading a
General MIDI SoundFont that covers all the instruments.

There are lots of SoundFonts to chose from online. The Magic Sound Font
v2.0 available at http://www.personalcopy.com/sfarkfonts1.htm works
well. Note that you will need to decompress this file with a special
sfArk decompressor (see the note at the top of the page)

Once you have downloaded and uncompressed a SoundFont you like go to
Edit > Preferences...  and then click on the I/O tab. In the SoundFont
section browse to where you saved your new SoundFont.

 From what I understand a full General MIDI SoundFont isn't included
with MuseScore because of copyright issues and the unclear origin of the
sound banks.

(1) Right click on an empty part of the measure you want to change.
(2) Select "Measure Properties..." from the context menu.
(3) Change the actual duration to desired length.

In the latest preview release the new score wizard lets you set the
first measure of the piece as an anacrusis/pickup measure.

I've noticed that the display doesn't always update correctly after
cross staff beaming. Sometimes if I switch tabs and the come back to the
score I was working on then the display has corrected itself. I don't if
you are encountering the same problem or not.
