tablature

Schoap D
Hi all,

I must admit that I'm pretty impressed by mscore as a note typesetter...
I think there's no need for finale or sibelius anymore ;)

One thing Sibelius has is a nice tablature feature. I make mostly music
for the guitar and like to set also notes and tablature for a song...

Is it possible to add a tablature feature in MScore? Would be great!

Kind regards,

Dirk

yes its possible but its a lot of code and therefore will not happen before
version 1.0. I'm a bit keyboard centric orientated and do not know much
about tablature so i think it would be great if someone else would pick
up this :-)

Werner

Werner,

Thanks for your reply.

I know tuxguitar has a option that looks like what I mean. When you put
a '2' on a particular string it will display the tablature position and
the note which belongs to that position. I also and moreover like to
work the other way around. If I put a 'b' for example, the b will
displayed with also the position on the tablature bar. I think it should
also have the possibility to change the tablature bar independently,
because there  are more  then one position on  the guitar fretboard
which is a 'b'...

Maybe you could work together or share some codes with the
developmenters of tuxguitar? http://www.tuxguitar.com.ar/

Thanks in advance,

Dirk
